REQUEST FOR BID                                                                                   April 18, 2008

Please be advised that the City of Peabody is now in the process of solicitation of bids for a Street Project. This project will include: overlay and curbs and gutters.

Your bid should include the following information for review and consideration:

1. Cost of overlay material (asphalt in 6” depth is preferred; but any like substance of similar nature will be considered).

2. Overlay material to be used should be quoted in a quantity that can be considered for covering a standard sized city block (330’ x 24’). For example – 880 square yards would be the volume required for an average city block.

3. Any additional charges for removing existing street and rebuilding the base in preparation of the overlay.

4. Cost for installation of curb and gutter quoted in linear feet.

5. Availability, anticipated duration of project.

Project start date, and complete scope of work to be awarded at the conclusion of the bid letting process. Please submit your sealed bid no later than 5:00 pm, May 09, 2008 to the following:
